Design and material

The urn is made from grade 316 stainless steel, a step above the more common grade 304. Grade 316 offers stronger resistance to corrosion, which matters particularly outdoors where the urn may face rain, salt air or shifting temperatures. The brushed finish is directional: the grain catches light at different angles, giving the surface a gentle, shifting gloss rather than a flat shine. The tree form is clean and upright, a shape that sits well against modern memorials in glass or steel and equally at home alongside natural stone.

Because these urns are patinated during production, the exact colour may vary slightly between pieces. This urn for ashes is handcrafted in the Netherlands by specialist makers using high-grade materials, and that process takes time. The lead time is four to six weeks from order. Filling and sealing

Everything needed to fill and seal the urn is included: an ash bag, a cable tie, a cleaning cloth and a high-bond double-sided seal tape that locks the cap firmly in place. The filling process is straightforward. Place the ash bag inside the urn with the open end protruding to act as a funnel, pour the ashes in, tie the bag and tuck it down into the opening. If you prefer to place the ashes directly without a bag, a household funnel helps avoid spillage. Once the ashes are in place, clean the inner rim with the cloth, remove the protective film from the cap and press it firmly into the rim until it sits flush. The seal is airtight and built to hold under significant tension.

If you would rather not handle this yourself, the crematorium or funeral director can fill the urn on your behalf. Should the urn ever need to be reopened for any reason, the makers can assist with that too.

Personalisation

Laser engraving is available for this urn, applied directly to the stainless steel surface by a computer-guided laser. The result is precise and permanent. Imagery can be rendered in greyscale or colour, and the quality of the engraving reflects the quality of the file provided: a high-resolution image produces a sharper, more detailed result. When ordering, you can select the engraving option and upload your chosen image or text directly through the ordering process. Durability, guarantee and returns

Grade 316 stainless steel is chosen for its resilience. It does not rust or degrade with exposure to rain or humidity, and the airtight seal means moisture cannot reach the ashes. The ashes can be placed loose inside the urn with confidence, though using the ash bag is sensible if there is any possibility they may later be moved or divided. This cremation urn carries a ten-year guarantee, and there is a 30-day return period if, for any reason, it is not right for you.
