Shipping with care and attention

At legendURN, we understand that an urn, memorial jewellery item or other remembrance product is not an ordinary order. Many products are fragile, personal and emotionally valuable. That is why we pay close attention to careful checking, suitable packaging and clear shipping information.

On this page you can read which shipping methods may be available, what the costs are and what to keep in mind regarding delivery, tracking, custom-made products and fragile memorial items.

Good to know: orders are carefully checked and packed before they are shipped. The delivery itself is carried out by the carrier. Once your order has been dispatched, the tracking information is the best way to follow the current status of your parcel.

Shipping methods in brief

During checkout, you can see which shipping options are available for your order. Available options may depend on the product, delivery address, stock status, payment method and destination country.

1. Standard shipping

With standard shipping, your order is handed over to the carrier after processing, checking and careful packing. For deliveries in the United Kingdom we usually work with FedEx. For deliveries in Ireland we usually work with DHL, depending on the available service for your address.

For orders below £130 in the United Kingdom, we charge £6.56 for shipping and packaging. From £130, we do not charge standard shipping and packaging costs, unless otherwise stated or agreed.

For orders below €150 in Ireland, we charge €7.50 for shipping and packaging. From €150, we do not charge standard shipping and packaging costs, unless otherwise stated or agreed.

After dispatch, many parcels are delivered within a few working days. This is not a guaranteed delivery time. Delivery may be affected by carrier workload, holidays, weather conditions, customs or border handling where relevant, stock status, engraving, custom-made work or other circumstances outside our direct control.

2. Insured shipping

With insured shipping, the parcel is shipped with additional cover against loss or damage, according to the conditions of the carrier and the selected shipping option. The cost for insured shipping is £11 for the United Kingdom and €12.50 for Ireland.

This option can be reassuring for higher-value products or when you would like extra certainty. Many customers choose insured shipping for fragile urns, handmade items, memorial jewellery or products that carry special emotional meaning.

Depending on the carrier and delivery option, insured shipping may require a signature or personal handover. Please always check the tracking information for the latest delivery instructions.

3. Service point or collection option

In some cases, the carrier may offer a service point, collection point or alternative delivery option. This can be useful if you are not at home during the day or if you prefer to collect the parcel yourself at a suitable time.

Whether this option is available depends on the carrier, destination and order. Please follow the instructions in the tracking information. The carrier’s tracking page will show where your parcel is, whether a delivery attempt has been made and, where applicable, where and how long the parcel can be collected.

Tracking your order

Once your order has been dispatched, you will usually receive a shipping confirmation by email with a tracking link. This allows you to follow the progress of your parcel and see when the carrier expects to deliver it.

The tracking information is leading for the current status of your shipment. Please check this information if you want to know where your parcel is, when delivery is expected or whether the carrier has left additional instructions.

If you are not at home, the carrier may make another delivery attempt, leave instructions, offer a collection option or take the parcel to a service point, depending on the country, carrier and shipping method.

Delivery time, stock and custom-made products

The delivery time depends on the stock status of the product and any additional work required. Products that are in stock can usually be shipped faster than items that are specially ordered, made, personalised or engraved.

Custom-made products, engraved items, handmade products and special requests may take longer. Please always check the product information and the information shown during checkout. If you need a product by a specific date, for example for a funeral, memorial service or scattering ceremony, please contact us before ordering so we can check what may be possible.

Fragile products are packed carefully

Many urns and memorial products are fragile. This includes ceramic urns, glass urns, porcelain urns, natural stone urns, handmade urns and memorial jewellery. These products require careful handling and suitable protection during shipping.

We look for the right balance between safe protection and avoiding unnecessary packaging material. Some products need extra space or protective material to reduce the risk of breakage during transport.

Please check your parcel after delivery

Please check your parcel as soon as possible after delivery. First check whether the outer packaging is damaged, then carefully check whether the product has arrived complete and in good condition.

If the parcel is visibly damaged, an item is missing or the product has arrived damaged, please contact us as soon as possible and keep the packaging. Photos of the outer packaging, inner packaging and product help us assess the situation and find a suitable solution.

Check your address details carefully

Please check your delivery address, postcode, house number, email address and telephone number carefully during checkout. An error in the address details can cause delays or prevent a parcel from being delivered correctly.

If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible. If the order has not yet been dispatched, we can try to update the details in time.

What if a parcel is delayed?

A small delay with the carrier can occur. Please first check the tracking information, as this usually shows the most up-to-date status of the shipment.

If the status remains unclear or the parcel does not seem to move for a longer period, please contact us. We will be happy to look into it with you and, if needed, contact the carrier.
