You can select this option and upload your image when placing your order. Beyond a photograph, it is also possible to have a personal motif, handwritten signature or short phrase cut directly from the steel, or to develop a completely individual design. Durability and material reliability

Grade 316 stainless steel resists corrosion and moisture, and the seal on the Calyx is fully airtight and built to withstand significant tension. This makes the urn well suited to holding ashes directly, without an ash bag, should you prefer that. If you want to keep open the option of moving the ashes at a later date, using the ash bag supplied is the safer approach. The urn carries a ten-year guarantee.

Filling the urn

All accessories needed to fill and seal the urn are included with it. The process is straightforward: the ash bag can be placed inside the urn and used as a funnel, then sealed with the cable tie provided and tucked fully into the opening. If you are not using the bag, a separate funnel is recommended to avoid spillage. Once the ashes are in place, the inner seating edge should be clean and free of dust, grease or moisture before the lid is pressed firmly into position. A correctly fitted lid sits flush with the base. If you would prefer not to fill the urn yourself, the crematorium or funeral director can do this for you. Should the urn ever need to be opened again, the technical team can take care of that.
