A flame that doesn't fade

Sometimes you know straight away. Not because an urn stands out, but because it feels right. The 'Eternal Flame' carries that quality: a clean, considered form in stainless steel that holds both stillness and meaning. The name isn't decorative. It speaks to presence that continues, to something that endures beyond loss. If you are looking for an urn that reflects who they were, this one can carry that weight.

Hand-finished in grade 316 stainless steel

This cremation urn is hand-crafted in the Netherlands by specialist makers using grade 316 stainless steel. The choice of grade matters. Type 316 contains a higher chromium alloy than the more common type 304, giving it significantly greater resistance to corrosion and moisture over time. The brushed surface finish is applied with precision, so the steel catches light at different angles and holds its characteristic lustre for years. Because each urn is individually finished, lead time is four to six weeks, though in practice many urns leave sooner. If you need a current estimate, the chat or customer service team can tell you exactly where things stand.

Engraved with what matters

Laser engraving is available for the 'Eternal Flame', applied directly to the stainless steel surface in greyscale or colour. The process uses a concentrated, computer-guided beam to work the surface with precise detail. The sharper your image file, the finer the result. That might be a portrait, a signature, a flower they grew every year, or a symbol the two of you shared. Something that belonged to your life together. After placing your order, you'll reach a step in the process where you can select your engraving option and upload your image.

Personalisation options for this urn

  • A photo or portrait engraved in greyscale or colour, applied directly to the surface
  • A personal symbol or motif chosen to reflect your loved one's life
  • A bespoke design: send a sketch or reference image and a unique model can be developed with you, with a quote provided before anything is confirmed

Built for indoors and out

Grade 316 stainless steel resists all weather conditions, including prolonged exposure to moisture and temperature change. This urn for ashes is fully suited to outdoor placement as well as indoor, with no compromise to its durability or appearance over time.

Closure, ashes and practical reassurance

The closure is fully airtight and built to withstand considerable tension. Ashes can be placed directly in the urn without an ash bag if you prefer. That said, if there is any chance you might want to move the ashes in future, using the supplied ash bag gives you more flexibility later. All accessories needed for filling and sealing are included. The urn carries a ten-year guarantee, and if you have any doubts after receiving it, there is a 30-day return period with no conditions attached.

How to fill this stainless steel urn

Filling is straightforward and everything you need comes with the urn. Place the supplied ash bag into the urn, leaving a section folded out over the opening to act as a funnel. Pour the ashes in, then seal the bag with the included cable tie and push it fully inside. If you are not using a bag, a separate funnel is recommended to avoid spillage. Once filled, make sure the inner seating edge is completely free of dust, grease and moisture using the cloth provided. Peel the protective film from the lid, position it carefully against the opening, then press it firmly into place in one smooth movement. A correctly seated lid will sit flush with the surface. If you would rather the crematorium or funeral director handled the filling, that is entirely possible. And if the urn ever needs to be reopened afterwards, a technician can assist.

Questions people often ask

A few of the questions that come up most often about this urn, answered clearly.

What guarantee does the urn carry?

This cremation urn carries a ten-year guarantee. Grade 316 stainless steel is chosen precisely because it holds its quality over time, and the guarantee reflects that confidence.

Can I return the urn if it isn't right?

Yes. There is a 30-day return period on this urn, no questions asked.

Do I need to use an ash bag?

No. The airtight closure and robust construction of this stainless steel urn mean ashes can be placed directly inside. An ash bag is included should you prefer it, and it is worth considering if you think the ashes may need to be moved or transferred at some point in the future.

Can I commission a completely bespoke design?

Yes. If you have something specific in mind, send a sketch, a photo or a reference and a design can be developed with you from there. A quote is provided before any work begins, so you remain in control throughout.

If you have a question about engraving, lead time or how to fill the urn, get in touch via the chat or customer service and someone will make sure you have everything you need.
