Still present, every day
Some objects earn their place quietly. The Memento keepsake urn holds the memory of someone you loved and sits naturally in your home, neither hidden nor insistent. It is simply there, as a small but genuine connection to the bond you shared.
Ceramic: a material with deep roots
The word ceramic comes from the Greek keramos, and the material has been used to make meaningful objects for thousands of years. The Egyptians worked with it centuries before the common era. That long history reflects something real: ceramic is durable, low-maintenance, and holds its character over time without any particular effort on your part.
How the Memento is made
Production begins with a plaster mould built from a precise technical drawing. The urns are cast from that mould, then set aside to dry. Once dry, the surface is smoothed and the piece goes into the kiln for a first firing at 900 degrees Celsius. A satin glaze is then applied, and the urn is fired again at 1,050 degrees. It is that second firing that gives the bronze finish its depth and evenness. Each stage requires precision and patience, and the result shows it.
A place in your home, a place in your memory
The Memento mini urn for ashes is designed for indoor use. Its satin glaze gives it a calm, even sheen that sits comfortably alongside contemporary interiors. The bronze tone settles naturally next to wood, stone or pale plasterwork. Choosing it is a considered decision about how you want to live with your remembrance.
Designed to belong, not to dominate
On a windowsill, a bookshelf or a quiet corner of a room, this cremation urn holds its presence without drawing attention to itself. It is the kind of object that is always there when you glance towards it, and unobtrusive when you do not. For many people, that balance is exactly what they are looking for.
Practical and reliable in everyday use
Ceramic is a stable material that lasts well when treated with care. There are a few practical things worth knowing before you decide.
What to expect from ceramic
The Memento is suitable for indoor use only. Ceramic is vulnerable to sharp physical impact: a hard fall onto a solid floor can crack or break the piece. Choose a stable, flat surface where the urn is unlikely to be knocked. The glazed surface is moisture-resistant for normal indoor conditions and requires no special cleaning. A dry cloth is all it needs.
Adding a personal touch
If you would like to personalise the urn, an engraving plate can be added. It can carry a name, a birth year and year of passing, or a short phrase that says something about who this person was. Get in touch and we can talk through what would suit you best, at whatever pace feels right.
