A face that stays

Paper fades. Colours shift. A porcelain photo does neither. If you are looking for something that truly lasts, on a headstone, a memorial stone or an urn, porcelain is the material that makes that possible.

Fired to last, shaped to your choice

The image is fired at high temperature directly into the porcelain, so it becomes part of the material itself rather than sitting on the surface. The result holds against sun, rain, frost and the slow passage of time. You choose the size, the edge finish and the colour treatment: full colour, black and white, or sepia. Each option changes the quality of the memory you are preserving. A sepia tone carries a different atmosphere to a sharp colour portrait. Black and white strips back detail and lets the face come forward. You decide what remains.

What you can personalise

When you order, you choose from the following options:

  • Colour treatment: full colour, black and white or sepia
  • Size, from the available formats
  • Edge finish, from the available options
  • Suitable for fixing to a memorial monument, cremation urn, photo block or headstone

Choosing the right photograph

It is often the hardest part. Not because there is no right answer, but because every photograph tells something different about the bond you shared. Take your time with this choice. We will send you a digital proof for approval before anything goes to production, so you can be confident the image looks exactly as you intend.

Practical notes on the material

Porcelain is hard and rigid. It does not flex, and it will not withstand a sharp knock or impact. When fixing the photo to a monument or urn for ashes, it should be mounted on a stable, flat surface using an appropriate adhesive. Fitted carefully, it is resistant to weather and surface wear, which is precisely why porcelain has been used for memorial purposes outdoors across generations.

If you are unsure which size suits your monument or urn, we are happy to think it through with you. Get in touch and we will talk through the options at your own pace.
