The Lysis is made from glassfibre, a composite material valued for being both lightweight and genuinely durable. The process behind it is methodical and hands-on. A core structure of glassfibre, resin and plaster is formed first. Onto that, two or three thick coats of lacquer are applied, each mixed with plaster and rinsed with water between applications. Colour is worked in next, followed by several layers of varnish. The urn is then smoothed and polished by hand. That polished finish is not decorative shorthand; it is the visible result of a process built up carefully, layer by layer.

Practical to use and easy to place

The Lysis accepts ashes with or without an ash bag, so you can choose whichever approach feels right. The glassfibre construction keeps the urn light enough to move comfortably, while remaining solid and stable on a shelf or surface at home.
