Craftsmanship built up in layers

Producing a glassfibre urn is a considered, multi-stage process. It begins with a cast framework of glassfibre, resin and plaster. Two or three thick coats of lacquer mixed with plaster are then applied, and the urn is rinsed with water between each coat. Colour is added next, followed by a coat of varnish, then a second. After that final coat, the surface is levelled and polished by hand. Each of those steps is deliberate, and you see the result in the finished surface.

Light in the hand, strong in construction

Glassfibre is both lightweight and durable, and the Cluse carries those qualities well. It is suitable for use with or without an ash bag, giving you the freedom to choose whichever feels right for your situation.

The Cluse is designed for indoor use. Glassfibre is strong and stable, but prolonged exposure to direct sunlight can gradually affect the polished surface over time. In normal indoor conditions, that is not something you need to think about.
