A dove that stays close

Some objects do more than hold something. They carry it. If you are looking for a way to keep the memory of someone you loved in a form that feels considered and lasting, this ceramic keepsake urn in the shape of a peace dove is made for exactly that.

Hand-formed over four weeks

The artist behind this urn has been modelling ceramic work for more than forty years. Each piece begins as high-quality clay, shaped entirely by hand. During the firing process, liquid bronze is applied to the surface and bonds to the ceramic, producing the characteristic bronze finish. From first modelling through to the final firing, the process takes around four weeks. No two urns come out identically: each carries its own slight variation in tone and surface, which makes every piece genuinely singular.

An object with presence

The peace dove is one of the most enduring symbols of stillness and release, not because it is conventional, but because it expresses something that is genuinely hard to put into words: the wish that someone you loved is at peace. The contemporary form means this keepsake urn reads as an art object rather than a memorial piece in the traditional sense. It can sit on a windowsill, a shelf or in a garden and hold its place naturally, always present without ever feeling out of place.

Practical and built to last

Ceramic is one of the most stable materials available for memorial objects, and the layered liquid bronze finish on this urn makes it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Care and practical considerations

Although the bronze finish is durable, it is worth protecting the urn from prolonged heavy rain or hard frost, both of which can, over time, affect the surface of any ceramic piece kept outside. Brought in during the harshest weather, it will hold its finish and appearance for many years. The urn is sealed via a base cap, which can be fixed permanently with adhesive if you prefer.

Personalisation

Engraving is available if you would like to make this cremation urn specific to the person it remembers. A name, a date, or a short phrase can be applied, perhaps a line your loved one used often, or a date that belonged to the two of you. If you would like to talk through what wording might feel right, we are happy to help you think it through.

If you have questions about engraving or would like to discuss which option suits this urn, get in touch and we will work through it with you at your own pace.
