The process behind this urn begins with a precise technical drawing, from which a plaster mould is made. That mould forms the basis for casting each individual piece. Once cast, the surface is smoothed and the urn goes through a first firing at 900°C. The glaze is then applied and the urn is fired a second time at 1,050°C. It is that second firing that gives the red its depth and the surface its gloss. Specially selected materials are combined into a workable ceramic body, so that every urn meets the same standard inside and out.
