Golden memorial jewellery for ashes

It can be comforting to save a small amount of the ashes of a loved one or pet, or a lock of hair or some earth from the grave. Ashes jewellery, such as ash pendants or ash charms, are a way to safeguard that symbolic representation and keep them close to you.

Cremation jewellery differs from memorial jewellery: a memorial piece does not have a space to store ashes. Besides memorial pieces, common options are pendants, charms, or jewellery with fingerprints. Each come with their own advantage.

  • A pendant is easy to attach to a necklace. We also offer a golden necklace, a silver necklace with Venetian links, and a silver snake necklace.
  • Charms can easily be added to almost any bracelet, including andora, Sim Stars, Larenza, Amora and Trollbeads bracelets. If you don’t have a bracelet to attach it to, we offer a golden bracelet in various lengths.
  • Finally, we understand how comforting it can be to make your remembrance jewellery truly unique. This is why we offer various ashes jewellery that you can personalise by having a fingerprint engraved on it. To order a gold ash jewellery with fingerprint, please add an image or scan to your order.

How does it work?

We offer a variety of jewellery suitable to store the ashes of your loved one or pet. These pendants, necklaces, and charms all come with a ‘filling guide’ to make it easy to transfer the remains into the jewellery. You can use a filling and sealing kit to fill your remembrance jewellery and seal it.

Please note: to fully ensure that the jewellery remains closed, we recommend that your keepsake is sealed by a jeweller (either with glue or by soldering).

Care instructions for ash holder jewellery

For the most part, caring for your cremation jewellery is similar to regular jewellery. However, there are a few additional things to keep in mind:

  • Do not expose the jewellery containing ashes to water. A necklace, pendant or other keepsake containing ashes is never fully watertight.
  • Keep away from corrosive or damaging materials. It may be harmed, damaged or worn down by salt, detergents, soap and/or sweat.
  • Consider the use of a polishing kit. You can use a cremation jewellery polishing kit to restore the shine in your jewellery. You should polish in the grinding direction to avoid scratches. If you’re not comfortable doing this yourself, most jewellers can do this for you.

Can I fly with ashes in a necklace?

In general, yes. Depending on the material, you may be asked to remove your jewellery holding ashes before you go through security — but this would be true for all jewellery. So a pendant, charm or necklace containing ashes should not be a problem. If you’re taking a cremation urn onto a plane, there are some additional rules to follow.
